There is an opportunity for this role to be managed flexibly, either working part-time or shorter daily hours. The salary and benefits will be adjusted accordingly in this instance.

The role:  

The HR Manager will support the European Head of HR to implement and manage all People Strategies within the business, in line with the overall business plan, vision and values. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-

  • Work closely with the European Head of HR, to implement and facilitate the People Strategy across the business, working to ensure these support the changing needs of the business, and are focused across: 
  • Employee Relations 
  • Provide day to day advice to the organisation re; all people-related issues and challenges
  • Manage all employee relations cases, including disciplinary, performance management and grievance issues, as well as TUPE and redundancy cases; 
  • Policy development and implementation 
  • Work closely with the Leadership and Line Managers to ensure the above HR policies and procedures are fairly and consistently implemented throughout the organisation 
  • Develop and implement fair HR policies, processes and procedures that reflect the culture of the organisation; 
  • Reward and Recognition 
  • Continue to develop and implement reward and recognition strategies and processes, including salary benchmarking, development of staff benefits, promotion processes, annual salary reviews, and annual bonus process 
  • Performance Evaluation and Management 
  • Continue to develop the process of 360 feedback and ongoing performance management 
  • Develop, implement and manage an online Performance Review process, using the HRIS already in place (MoorePay HR) 
  • Work closely with the Head of Recruitment and Engagement to ensure the recruitment and engagement strategies are implemented and facilitated according to the business' needs 
  • Provide monthly People data analytics and reporting as required 
  • Work with the European HR Director, Head of Finance and Head of Recruitment to develop and manage the annual People budget 
  • Support the European HR Director with project work as required 
  • Manage the HR and Learning an Development teams

About you

The successful candidate will:- 

  • Be qualified to degree level, or will hold a relevant professional qualification, ideally CIPD Level 7 
  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant HR experience, with at least 3 years managing a dynamic and busy HR team 
  • Have a strong and up to date knowledge and experience of Employment Law and general legislation
  • Have strong experience of management complex Employee Relations cases 
  • Have a proven track record of developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and processes 
  • Have experience of working with key stakeholders and employees at all levels, with strong verbal and written communications skills 
  • Be a proactive team player who maintains a real emphasis on relationship building
