We are looking to recruit a locum GP to provide a high standard of clinical care to our patients within our newly merged Practice, Central Healthcare.

The ideal candidate would be covering a 6 month maternity leave post, up to 10 sessions per week.

On 9 April 2018 Belgrave, Falsgrave, Peasholm and Prospect Road GP surgeries joined together to launch a new Partnership called Central Healthcare. Central Healthcare covers 30,000 patients in the Scarborough Town Centre area. We have a strong training ethos and are committed to encouraging and developing our staff through Continuing Professional Development through the provision of extensive in-house training programmes, CCG protected time for learning events and other external training providers. We also have a multi-disciplinary approach to managing the healthcare needs of our patients and support the recruitment and development of a range of Healthcare Professionals in our workforce. We are a training practice for GPs and Undergraduates.

We currently have four partners and fourteen salaried GPs, looking after 30,000 patients over three sites offering a diverse patient demographic.

DBS Checks

Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. By applying you are agreeing to this undertaking. If you are successful you will be asked to confirm if you wish to pay in one amount or in instalments. The charges are currently £30.20 for a standard check and £48.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.

Please note that Apprentices on the National Apprenticeship Minimum Wage will not be charged.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
