Nurse - Learning Disability/Mental Health

Senior Staff Nurse - Learning Disabilities/Mental Health - Responsibilities:
  • Deal with medication rounds where and when appropriate.
  • To plan, implement and supervise nursing care in designated area of responsibility.
  • To be physically involved in the nursing care of the patients and to meet all new service user's individual needs, either personally or through delegation.
  • Take responsibility for, and effectively participate in the day to day running of the hospital.
  • Supervise and guide junior nurses
  • Undertake clinical audits
  • Ensure practice is carried out in line with the most recent guidance
  • Manage stock control

Senior Staff Nurse - Learning Disabilities/Mental Health - skills required
  • An RGN/RMN/RNLD who has a genuine interest in working within our fantastic hospitals.
  • Can plan, implement and supervise nursing care in your designated area of responsibility.
  • Is looking to be physically involved in the nursing care of the residents and to meet all new residents' individual needs, either personally or through delegation.
  • Is a great communicator and team player.
  • Is happy to be offered the opportunity to further their career with our development programme.
  • Registered Nurse with experience of working in the relevant field for which they are applying
  • Completed or Working towards mentorship qualification
  • Completed or working towards additional clinical skills
  • Knowledge of relevant national polices and guidelines
  • Understanding around the purpose of auditing and clinical governance
  • Understanding of the process of promoting best practice and contributing to multi- disciplinary team working.
  • Ability to evaluate clinical practice
