Logistics Planning Supervisor, Based: Peterborough, Salary: Up to c£28k + Excellent benefits and career development. We have an opportunity for a Logistics Planning Supervisor to join the market leading provider of Portable cabins, Modular buildings and associated products for hire and sale. This role is responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the planning and cross-hire function, to ensure all customer requirements are met on time, in full, and in line with budget. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar planning role Senior Planner / Planning Supervisor / Planning Manager or as an Office Manager from within a logistic environment. Logistics Planner / Hire Controller Main Tasks: •Ensuring quick and efficient solutions to all customer issues (internal & external) and ensure communication is maintained •To efficiently and effectively manage a team in the planning, administration & cross hire function •Ensure all planned work is achievable and completed on time every time, to customer expectation. •To liaise with and support the regional teams on a daily basis, understand any shortfall in performance, understand root cause & introduce mitigation to prevent reoccurrence •Hands on support in the planning, administration & cross hire function, covering for absence •Ability to influence operational managers. •Effectively manage your team and carry out regular performance management ; Coach and develop your team, and support continuous improvement & development. •Develop effective relationships within the business to ensure business collaboration. •Develop effective relationships with internal and external customers and subcontractors, to ensure an effective working relationship •Performance Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance to our SLAs •Initiating and implementing new initiatives for continuous improvements to both operational and service processes. •Produce Weekly and Monthly reports on the performance of the planning team against agreed KPI's (TBC) with an overall summary & mitigation where required. •Monitoring job status on a daily basis, understand root cause and provide solutions to prevent reoccurrence, and strive for 100% OTIF •Promote & reward service excellence within your team, identify best practice & continual improvements, share. Candidate requirements: •Previous planning and administration experience Senior Planner / Planning Supervisor / Planning Manager or as an Office Manager from within a logistic environment. •Ideally have experience of supervising or managing a team. •IT literate with knowledge of planning systems and of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (essential) •Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment under pressure •The ability to organise own work load and prioritise demands. •There will be a requirement to travel to other sites, customers sites and subcontractor sites, which may require overnight stays away from home •Willing to work flexible hours if required Company Benefits include; Excellent learning and development programme, 25 days holiday (option to purchase or sell up to 5 days holiday), profit gain sharing bonus, gym membership discount, car hire discount, phone contract discount and access to hundreds of other shopping discounts and vouchers.
