What it's about

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent organisational skills and a good knowledge of MS Office, to work as part of the International Marketing Support team in our Business & Marketing Unit. This post plays a key role in ensuring the prompt, cost-effective distribution of promotional items and other marketing materials to our customers throughout the world.

The International Marketing Support team is responsible for providing day-to-day liaison between the marketing team in head office and our regional marketing teams across the globe. The team is responsible for maintaining up-to-date understanding of local market priorities and activities and providing central support as appropriate. This includes coordinating input and feedback into marketing plans, tactical campaigns and support and the supply and distribution of centrally produced materials.

There are opportunities for development within this role and you will work with lots of different teams across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

The responsibilities of the post include:
  • Processing orders for a range of promotional materials and publications
  • Stock control and providing detailed analysis of stock and costs
  • Keeping up-to-date records of publishing, marketing communications and digital projects
  • Being first point of contact for overseas colleagues seeking access to marketing materials
  • Liaising with our despatch department on a daily basis
  • Some occasional lifting of boxes.

What we're looking for

  • Excellent prioritisation and multitasking skills are essential
  • Proven administrative skills and experience in a complex office environment
  • Educated to A Level standard or higher
  • Competent in the main Microsoft Office packages
  • Highly numerate with excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Enjoy working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail as the role requires recording and analysis of financial data
  • Experience of working in a Marketing department of an international organisation would be desirable
  • Interest in the education sector would be desirable.
