Location: Huddersfield

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000

NJR Recruitment is currently working with a leading Wealth Management Company, who provide holistic wealth management advice to clients based across the UK. Due to their continued growth they are now looking for a pro-active and driven File Checker to join their team.

This role will suit someone who has excellent attention to detail, that thrives in a structured environment and has been working within financial planning with experience of Pensions & Investments. You will be working for a professional services firm with an excellent reputation for training staff in a friendly and welcoming environment.

  • Review fact finds, file notes, client risk profile questionnaires etc
  • Undertake the necessary Product analysis and Fund research
  • Compile suitability reports
  • Discuss the reports with the Financial Adviser, amending as necessary.
  • Provide written feedback to advisers in order that they can update files in accordance with business standards
  • Manage own workload effectively to meet productivity targets
  • Identify any emerging trends or risks to the Compliance Management Team
  • Provide guidance to advisers on aspects of specific cases to support good consumer outcomes
  • Provide technical assistance to the business about the firm's standards when designing processes and propositions
  • Provide opinion as to the suitability of any advice given which is the subject of a complaint and highlighting any aspects which impact on it meeting FCA requirements
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and projects as requested by line manager

Candidates would ideally be Diploma qualified with a strong understanding of Pensions & Investment products, but those working towards this qualification are also of strong interest. You will be highly professional and very strong communicators. The ability to work as part of a professional team is essential, as is previous experience working as part of a Financial Planning team. First class IT skills are also required.
