Purple Monkey Recruitment are working exclusively with Everest Media who are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (Home Based) to join their team. Everest Media are a Software Development, SEO and Analytics agency who live and breathe technology and are looking for a like-minded person to be a part of their continued growth. While their HO is based in Cornwall their growth area is across London and the South Est and so they are looking for a Business Development Manager based in that geography to help accelerate growth in the region.

To support in the next stage of their growth they are looking for a driven, ambitious Business Development Manager who can turbo-charge their growth. You will take the lead in generating and closing new opportunities that enhance their business and support their ambitious goals.

You will have a real desire to drive the organisation forward and be a highly motivated, self-starting person who can be trusted with an outcome.

With proven experience in a similar role within a similar agency you will take ownership of the end to end sales process and deliver in line with agreed targets.

In this role you will be expected to:
  • Develop warm and cold leads and build a robust new business pipeline
  • Write proposals, pitch for and win new work to hit monthly and annual targets
  • Develop case studies and other professionally created sales collateral
  • Create a detailed approach that is updated regularly and shared with management
  • Outbound prospecting via email, phone and face to face meetings
  • Contribute to the overall development of the agency, in terms of positioning in the market
  • Build and maintain detailed knowledge of the sectors our clients/prospects work in
  • Create links and develop effective working relationships with appropriate 3rd parties
  • Attend networking events/seminars to maximise awareness of our brand
  • Work alongside the Head of Service Delivery to identify opportunities with current clients
  • Work alongside the Head of Service Delivery to ensure smooth handover of new business
  • Balance competing priorities, work under pressure and deliver to deadlines

Experience, skills and professional attributes:
  • At least 2 years' in a similar role in a digital agency or related environment with a track record of successful business development
  • A digital agency background, with confidence in understanding how to best utilise digital to address a client brief specifically across SEO, Analytics and Web Development
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong influencing and negotiation skills. You will value honest and open communication, never avoiding challenging conversations

Desirable attributes:
  • Experience of responding to tenders & RFPs
  • Understanding of PPC for lead generation
  • Strong LinkedIn Sales Nav skills.

This role is Home Based. With a HO in mid Cornwall you will be based remotely 90% of the month with occasional trips to the South West when required.
