We have recently been successful in our bid for £30 million of national funding to develop an Integrated Front Door, expand our Emergency Department, purchase land for potential expansion and to help us develop new models of care, such as an intensive rehabilitation offer. And we have many more ambitious plans. This is a great and exciting milestone which will help us to maintain quality and safety for people in Swindon and the surrounding areas over the coming years.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, forward thinking senior therapist to work within and established front door service as a clinical specialist band 7. This is a developing and challenging role which demands a high level of clinical expertise. The Therapist must be committed to the delivery of robust; evidence based holistic assessment and interventions to facility timely discharges from demanding and fast paced emergency care.

Now is the time to come work with us at the Great Western Hospital as our Emergency Department is undergoing a new expansion and re build. You will be part of the redesign and pathway planning.

This post will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work alongside medics, ANP's, social workers and our supportive team of experienced therapists and assistants in providing a high quality therapy service. The post will include training prospects to up skill your current expertise in a direction that enhances both the candidate and the service. Examples could include frailty assessments, prescribing, and reviewing X rays and bloods for therapy led discharges.

The post includes 7 day working as per our rotas with lieu days in the week and potential for flexible hours ranging from 08:00-20:00.

All new starters with the Trust will be subject to a six month probationary period, with the exception of medical and dental candidates.

Current employees should be aware that this position is advertised as a GWH position and appointment ends any TUPE protection.

All candidates are required to pay for their own DBS check where applicable. Standard DBS check costs £26 and will be recovered from your first pay; Enhanced DBS check costs £44 and will be split and recovered over the first 2 pay.

Bank posts requiring a DBS check; payment must be made prior to commencing.

Apprentices are exempt from payment.
