Responsible for providing finance business partnering to directorates, liaising at all levels, ensuring delivery of robust financial plans, analysis and insight. You will need to be proactive and curious, not afraid to challenge, whilst being able to establish strong working relationships and influence at all levels.

You'll be a keen problem solver with an eye for detail, an effective communicator with the ability to build strong relationships and have a strong focus on customer service, planning and organising. You will have a good track record of developing and providing high quality financial support and be experienced in budgeting and forecasting.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner include:
  • Report to Senior FBP
  • To work with the management teams of the Directorates to deliver both tactical and strategic Business Development Plans
  • To produce, review (for reasonableness, accuracy and key financial trends and concerns) and distribute monthly management accounts and other periodic financial reports to tight deadlines
  • Critically review and challenge draft budget and forecast data.
  • To work with each unit to produce an updated quarterly financial forecast and financially evaluate their longer-term strategic plans
  • To undertake regular site visits to ensure that financial administration and controls are operating effectively
  • To provide financial, commercial and business advisory support and expertise to colleagues at all levels


The successful candidate will be a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and budget holders to deliver robust financial planning and advice for this important and growing area of the business.

To be considered you must:

Fully-qualified CCAB accountant e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA

Have demonstrated the ability to effectively business partner and influence senior stakeholders with key business decisions

Experienced in the production of management accounts

Able to travel to national sites on an ad hoc basis

Desirable: Knowledge of the health and social care sector and an appreciate of financial operations in this area.
