Education Account Manager
Field Based
Base £45,000 to £55,000 plus OTE circa £30,000

The Education Account Manager position works directly with our community of customers and internal teams to ensure customer happiness and success. This role is also key to revenue generation by upselling products and services. A successful candidate will have higher education and sales experience combined with excellent presentation, demonstration, and relationship skills.

Major Accountabilities

Account Management

* o Identify, cultivate and close upsell opportunities
* o Support company marketing and sales initiatives
* o Perform on-site and remote demonstrations
* o Attend multiple events including national and international trade shows
* o Develop prototype solutions tailored to customer needs
* o Work with internal teams to review and scope customization requests
* o Licensing, invoicing, and credit collection management for assigned accounts
* o RFP/RFI analysis and responses; contract negotiations; addendum preparation and management
* o Generate revenues by meeting established sales goals by upselling products and services to accounts.

Customer Satisfaction

* o Employ tactical and strategic measures to ensure that assigned accounts are satisfied beyond their expectations
* o Build and maintain trusted executive relationships with all stakeholders
* o Regular customer calls and periodic on-site visits (i.e., Must be able to travel up to 50% including internationally)
* o Identify and resolve possible items of concern and serve as an escalation point (customer advocacy)
* o Build sufficient product knowledge to perform assigned task efficiently; seek assistance from Senior Account Managers, Team Lead and subject matter experts when additional product knowledge is required

Data Privacy Accountabilities

* o Represent Company as local Data Protection Officer reporting to the Data Protection Officer in Melbourne
* o Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and customers on data privacy, the GDPR and leveraging tools to improve their processes

Knowledge and Experience

* o Bachelor's degree preferred or 6+ years equivalent relevant professional experience
* o Higher education housing experience such as Associate or Assistant Director of Housing, Residential Life, Housing Operations Manager, Conference Services Director, Residential Services Technology Support Specialist, etc.
* o Experience managing multiple priorities at the same time
* o Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
* o Experience using a housing/conference management software


* o Previous use of CRM system
* o IT background or experience working with IT projects/teams
* o Basic understanding of software licensing contracts, terms, conditions, pricing, etc.
* o Experience working with software vendors
* o Participated in RFP/RFI projects
* o Basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable
* o Be self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently
* o Outgoing and engaging personality
* o Excellent attention to detail
* o Ability to successfully build rapport with stakeholders
* o Able to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under pressure and with time constraints in a fast-paced team oriented environment
* o Ability to prioritise tasks and set, manage, and meet deadlines
* o Willingness to travel nationally and internationally approximately 50%
