Livability East Anglia provides person-centred care and support for adults with a wide range of disabilities and needs. The service is tailored to the individual's needs, enabling people to build on living skills and independence and achieve daily tasks in their homes. Accessing the local community for activities, to make friends and be part of the community is an important part of this service.

Independent living

Livability East Anglia is an Independent Living service, run by Livability, the disability charity that connects people with their communities.

Livability Independent Living specialises in providing flexible, client-driven approach to care, health and inclusion requirements for people with a wide range of needs and living situations.

Whether support is needed for an hour or two, or up to 24 hours a day, we help people to get the most out of life and their local community.

At Livability, we're looking for caring and community-minded people to:
  • Provide the highest standards of professional day to day support and create an environment that will enable the people we support to have the best possible quality of life. Your support will help people live as independently as possible within their residential home.
  • Communicate with the people we support, using their preferred means of communication and encouraging them to voice their own choices, needs and options freely.
  • Respond to the needs of each individual within the specified person-centred plans, so that they are able to make safe, informed choices.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to connect and establish relationships.
  • Have knowledge of key legislation relating to health and safety in the workplace.
  • Have the ability to interact and identify communication and language needs, wishes and preferences.
  • Have a full UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle.

The ideal candidate will have a compassionate nature, with a real desire to help others.
