We are currently working with a leading financial technology and information business with a phenomenal story and genuinely industry leading solutions recognised globally. With revenues in excess of £4 Billion and a illustrious history you will be working for a market leader. They help professional services firms to manage their own business so the team sells heavily in to Tax & Accountancy Firms.

The business is looking for their next Sales Leader. You will be based in the field and reporting into the Director of Sales. Most important you will be an accomplished, senior-level sales leader who thrives in embracing change and leading a team, which will constantly adapt to new business challenges across all revenue lines and channels. You will inspire through knowledge, ability, dedication and leadership.

You will play a key, influential role in a forward thinking, market leading organisation managing the Southern Sales team. You will be taking over a well-established team that are consistently performing and have a broad range of experience within it. The newest members have been there 12 months with some team members being there over 8 years. You will not have an individual number, but management of a remote team is essential. The team work to a target of around £400k per person working with AOV of between £10k - £20k and sales cycles of between 1 - 6 months. Each manage a base of around 100 existing customers and then develop new business. You will have experience of leading teams with similar software sales background or / and experience selling in to Tax & Accountancy firms.

Responsibilities: Sales Manager
  • Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the Key Accounts, partners and corporate clients
  • Delivering a sales strategy that includes full proposition development, resource management and reward and recognition in line with our full product portfolio of both online and on-premise products and services.
  • Overseeing and managing a large team of Sales Managers, typically spanning a wide geographical area.
  • Identifying valuable emerging markets.
  • Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace
  • Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
  • Maximising company profit.
  • Forming sales strategies to keep our business competitive and innovative;
  • Delivery and achievement of all strategic goals
  • Work in conjunction with all parts of the wider organisation (locally and internationally) to leverage and develop sales opportunities, and to develop unified and consistent sales and client engagement processes.

Qualifications / Experience: Sales Manager
  • Based in the South of the UK
  • Proven senior-level sales management ability
  • Strong business acumen,
  • In-Depth understanding of the Professional Services sector and as well as a background leading software sales team
  • Effective people leadership and interpersonal skills, with a passion for developing people
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Process driven with strong planning and organisational capabilities
  • Strategic, lateral thinker
  • Proven track record in new business development
