What it's about

This role is a great opportunity to lead on Cambridge Assessment Network's communications and marketing strategy to internal and external customers, nationally and internationally.

You will be promoting Cambridge Assessment Network's assessment training products and its voice across the education community. Cambridge Assessment Network ('The Network') is part of the Assessment Research and Development Division of Cambridge Assessment. The Network is currently in a period of growth as we expand our assessment CPD product range.

You'll be developing and implementing marketing campaigns to ensure take-up meets marketing targets for our online courses, qualifications and training events in 2020. You'll also be leading on a communications dialogue around assessment learning to stakeholders, across a range of channels.

You'll be adept at managing competing priorities and making timely decisions about where to prioritise effort and resource. You will have a key role to play in decision making around the Network's ongoing growth, ensuring customer insight underpins product development and marketing strategies.

What you'll be doing
  • You'll be leading on and implementing marketing campaigns to maintain and grow attendance numbers on The Network's range of assessment learning products
  • You'll be leading on communications and PR campaigns to promote discussion and engagement around assessment learning amongst internal and external stakeholders
  • You'll be responsible for leading on our representation at trade exhibitions and conferences in the UK and internationally, ensuring optimum ROI on marketing objectives
  • You'll be responsible for three annual thought leadership seminars - ensuring pre-event communications encourage attendance, and work with internal stakeholders to effectively disseminate post-event messages
  • You'll be responsible for The Network's web pages, online news services and representation in other organisational communications
  • You'll be maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimisation of cross-group marketing opportunities

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • A first degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Either a CIM or CIPR qualification


What we're looking for

You'll have a proven track record in running successful marketing campaigns, and will be a skilled communications professional. An understanding of the education sector would be a real advantage, as would experience in running events. You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and a demonstrable track record in successfully engaging with customers and delivering sales results.

You will be a creative problem solver with an ability to multi-task on a variety of projects with competing deadlines.
