Contract: Fixed term Maternity cover (3.5 days/week)

What it's about

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Product Development Team at OCR for a Development Project Officer. Based in either Coventry or Cambridge offices, you will be involved with the development, redevelopment and amendments of OCR General Qualifications (GCSEs, AS and A Levels) and Vocational Qualifications. You will be using your previous project management experience to liaise with every business stream within OCR to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of Product Development projects. As an excellent communicator with a positive can-do attitude, you will be flexibly working on a range of fast-paced and varied briefs, delivering high quality products within tight time and cost constraints.

What you'll be doing
  • You will be leading on product development, amendment or withdrawal projects (from inception to business readiness). Ensuring products are delivered on time, to cost, and to quality assurance parameters.
  • As a Development Project Officer, your day to day activities will include
    • project planning,
    • establishing project database and schedules,
    • managing risks and issues,
    • securing resources from other OCR directorates or externally,
    • managing project budgets, and
    • ensuring that projects are delivered in adherence to OCR and relevant regulatory process and governance requirements.
  • You will be managing the process of achieving accreditation or recognition from relevant stakeholders; securing and utilising resources from across OCR or externally, as appropriate, to achieve this.
  • You will be amending and updating current qualifications based on strategic insights and internal and external feedback. This will include administrative and proof-reading activities.
  • You will be contributing to specific projects to improve product development processes or governance.
