This is an exciting opportunity to work across our Northern Europe region providing legal advice and support on key topics including commercial and corporate legal matters, employment law and GDPR and data compliance.

What does the role involve?
In the role of In-house lawyer you will provide legal advice and support to support the above mentioned markets, with a strong focus on the GB market. This role sits at the heart of the business, working in real partnership with key stakeholders advising on: commercial and corporate legal matters including contracts with direct customers and distributors; checking and approving marketing information; product liability topics and people topics such as employment and immigration. The role will also support on data compliance matters for the region.

You will:

Engage and act as an interface with the Corporate Legal Department of Hilti Corporation
Select and steer outside counsel as required
Supervise court, tribunal and mediation proceedings
Offer legal representation of the interest of the corporation in external boards and organisations, as appropriate

What you need is:
  • Fully qualified lawyer with at least 3 years of work experience in an international law firm or legal department of a multi-national enterprise
  • Admission as solicitor or Barrister for England and Wales
  • Entrepreneurial, target-oriented way of thinking; strong communication skills; team player with self-dependent work-style; ability to work under pressure
  • The above are the essential criteria for the role and we encourage you to apply if you meet them. The nice-to-haves are:
  • Distinct expertise in commercial law, construction law, competition law or product liability law
  • Post-graduate degree such as MBA, LL.M. or admission to the bar of a foreign jurisdiction
  • Relevant experience in a related industry sector
