Sunrise of Southbourne is currently looking for night care assistants, to work 3 nights per week including alternate weekends. Rates of pay are up to £9.80 per hour plus additional increases after probation of up to 30p per hour.

The role

We pride ourselves on providing outstanding person-centered care, and our Care Assistants are essential in supporting with the promotion of independence, dignity and quality of life for our residents by:

Providing residents with quality physical and emotional support and personal care
Enriching their lives by encouraging the participation in, and assisting with a variety of daily activities
Helping with transporting residents to personal appointments and external activities
Supporting with the delivery of an enjoyable dining experience
Maintaining a safe, clean and luxury residential setting

All Sunrise homes have Assisted Living and Reminiscence (dementia) neighbourhoods, and you will have the opportunity to work with residents of varying needs and backgrounds.

About you

You don't have to have worked in care before, as we provide a full two week induction plus regular support and mentoring. It's much more important to us that you are kind, patient and reassuring to our residents.

You'll be able to effectively and clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing, and have competent IT skills. You will have sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills.

Vocational qualifications at levels 2 or 3, and medication administration training is desirable, but not essential as long as you are willing to undertake training and qualifications.

All our Care Assistants must be able to work flexible hours - including weekends
