Sales Engineer

Central Scotland / Glasgow

Up to £45,000 plus bonus

Our client are specialists in hydraulics and the production and distribution of components and systems. Due to growth, they are now recruiting for a field based Industrial Sales Engineer to join their team based in Scotland.

You will be located within commutable distance of their primary target areas and will be expected to work from home when not visiting clients.

The Job:

You will be responsible for promoting products and services to new and existing customers. Working closely with product managers and the key account managers, you will offer a comprehensive, knowledgeable and professional service.

The role will require you to be out meeting with clients on site for most of the working week and then work from home to update information gained from the visits. The company offers extensive training on products and continuous development.

As you will manage your own time, you will be able to prioritise and manage your workload effectively. This includes sales forecasts and basic spreadsheets so strong IT skills are essential, including the use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

You will have a good understanding of the sales process and an ability to identify new sales opportunities

Essential requirements:

The ideal candidate will have technical field sales experience and have knowledge of hydraulics or other technical products that would relate to the field.

Your 'patch' will be central Scotland so you will need to be in this area to be considered for the role.

Ideal Candidates:

Will have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated to develop long term relationships with new and existing clients.

All expenses whilst out on the road will be covered and you will be given a company car, laptop, mobile phone and all the tools necessary to work effectively and be successful.

The company offer excellent benefits, including 25 days holiday. The hours are flexible, although this is a full time and permanent position with a salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience.

You will receive an annual bonus and this will be dependant on your success. Your salary will also be reviewed annually and increased appropriately based on your targets being met.
