Programme Manager

You will join our client as the Advice Programme Manager and will have full management responsibility for developing, planning, implementing and managing the Advice Service with a budget of approximately £700,000. You will manage a team of seventeen staff and will have responsibility for ensuring that the service meets its financial, delivery and quality targets and outcomes. You will be expected to develop and grow the service in line with the Bromley by Bow Centre's strategy, mission and vision.

Programme Manager Responsibilities:

- Ensure that all services are delivered to time and budget and deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain overall programme plan and report internally on project outcomes and budget and initiate remedial action where necessary.
- Manage contracts and funder relationships as necessary for the Advice Service.
- Risk mitigation and problem resolution. Ensure that income and expenditure targets are adhered to and agreed contribution is achieved.
- Line manage, coach, support and mentor managers, staff and volunteers.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance and improvement systems that monitor standards and support high quality delivery, for example the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
- Integrate approaches to service delivery by working closely with other programmes to share sector knowledge and improve performance.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing stakeholders and partners and develop new ones relevant to the specific programme area. Manage stakeholder relationships with partners as appropriate

Programme Manager Requirements:

- A minimum 5 years programme and / or project management experience.
- NVQ Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance or extensive working knowledge of the Advice sector, particularly in an environment of innovation and change.
- A track record of implementing and managing the delivery of contracts.
- Experience and proven track record of contract management.
- Experience of managing and motivating a staff team.
- An understanding of East London and its communities (desirable)
- A degree level education at UK standards or equivalent (desirable)

Location: London, E3 3BT

Job type: Part Time, Permanent; 21 hours per week, occasional evening and weekend work

Salary: £37,500 to £42,000 per annum, pro rata

Benefits: Pro rata 27 days plus 3 days for Christmas plus bank holidays and a day off on your birthday. Pension contribution details available on request.
