Could you be part of the British Red Cross Ambulance Support team and provide high quality care for people in crisis?

We're looking for Ambulance Support Technicians or Associate Ambulance Practitioners to join our Ambulance Support team who support South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb).

In this exciting role, you will work as part of a team to undertake tasks ranging from the care and transport of patients to full ambulance response in emergency situations. You will also take lead clinical accountability and provide guidance when needed.

Reporting to the Ambulance Support Service Delivery manager, your role will be essential in ensuring can be there when people in crisis need us most.

When crisis strikes, we're first on the scene

Our Ambulance support work is contract driven and based around agreements to provide a range of services from Patient Transport to front line ambulance support.

Our services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England and we apply the same standards to our service delivery across the whole of the UK. Our fleet and equipment is comparable with those deployed by NHS services.

We're a close-knit team united by one goal - to save lives.

This role might be for you if
  • You're a qualified Ambulance crew who has completed their preceptorship period, or a recognised equivalent qualification such as IHCD Level 3 Ambulance Technician (TECH) or FutureQuals level 4 Associate Ambulance Practitioner (AAP)
  • You have a Full B-Class Driving Licence, held for a minimum of 2 years with a maximum of 3 live penalty points
  • You can think outside the box - with the ability to use your initiative, you're able to proactively seek solutions to problems
  • You're available for an immediate start - You may be asked to attend a selection day (provisionally set for 27th November 2019) which will include an interview, clinical skills practical check, driving assessment, medical screening and document verification (Qualification and certificate check, enhanced DBS check).
