Exciting opportunities have arisen within the Hillingdon Hospital Neurological Therapy Team.

We now have an opportunity to work within this highly skilled forward thinking team within our Stroke Unit at Hillingdon Hospital, with the possibility of a rotation with Central and North West London NHS foundation trust.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute and specialist services from two sites to a local population of 350,000. Our services include; accident and emergency services, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. Hillingdon is situated in North West London close to Heathrow airport and is the second largest London borough. Our modern treatment centre at Mount Vernon in Northwood offers routine inpatient services, diagnostics and outpatient clinics.

We aim to continually improve our facilities and services and some recent improvements include: a new acute medical unit and endoscopy suite, a new specialist neuro-rehab unit, a refurbishment of our maternity unit, a new Macmillan cancer information centre as well as an award winning dementia friendly ward for elderly people with complex health conditions.

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Occupational Therapist who demonstrates excellent communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment and wants to use and develop their specialist skills within the area of Stroke rehabilitation.

You will work within an established Multidisciplinary Neurological Therapy Team on the Stroke Unit at Hillingdon Hospital.

You will have excellent opportunities to develop your skills within a holistic, efficient and clinically effective Occupational Therapy service and as part of the multidisciplinary team.

You must be totally committed to multi-disciplinary working and also have the experience of treating stroke patients and a wide range of neurological conditions.

We are looking for candidates who have:
  • HPC registration and post graduate experience within neurological rehabilitation
  • NHS experience and Neurological experience at Band 6 level.
  • Hard working, adaptable, possessing high-level communications skills, initiative and self-motivation.
  • Knowledge of audit, professional and service development
  • Commitment to MDT working.
