Brewster Partners are recruiting an experienced Finance Administrator for a large manufacturing organisation based in Sheffield.


Reporting to the Finance Manager, the main purpose of the role is to assist with the efficient running of the Finance Department. Duties will include but not limited to:
  • Assistance with company secretarial duties, including statutory compliance with regulatory requirements, and statutory filings for UK companies (16 active UK companies, plus over 50 dormant companies);
  • Assistance administering the Group's insurance policies including day to day claims recovery and renewal, including:
  • General insurance (products, employer liability, marine transit etc.);
  • Group credit insurance scheme.
  • Assistance maintaining UK companies' trademarks and patents register, including liaising with patent lawyers and other group companies;
  • Administration of one of the Group's defined contribution pension schemes (currently 20 members), including annual reporting;
  • Assisting the Company Secretary in maintenance of all UK Group bank accounts including refreshing mandates, adding new signatories, liaising directly with the bank etc.;
  • Assisting with preparation of the daily group cash/borrowings report;
  • Providing ad hoc support for the running of the Group payroll;
  • Maintaining the Group's paper and electronic archives;
  • Providing administrative assistance to the Group Finance department;
  • Providing ad hoc work and support to assist the Group Finance Manager and Group Chief Financial Officer;
  • Ensure effective liaison / relationship management with other departmental staff, partner organisations and external service providers;
  • To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems;
  • Maintain confidentiality, observe GDPR and associated guidelines where appropriate.

  • Previous experience is desirable
  • Familiarity of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures desirable
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, demanding environment is essential
  • You must be IT literate
  • Good time management and organisational skills are essential
