Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated on the Fylde Coast just a 45 minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary services in haematology, cystic fibrosis, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Heart failure and cardiac device teams in the Lancashire Cardiac Centre. We are looking for senior nurses with experience in Cardiology nursing, who are enthusiastic, conscientious and passionate about delivering the 'best in NHS care' to our patients.

The purpose of the role is to realise the full potential for patients of management and monitoring by cardiac device therapy. In terms of recognition of indication for device therapy, efficiency of device implant pathway and monitoring of the patient following implant.

The successful candidates will need to have experience that provides some insight into the potential for the use of remote monitoring in preventing admission to hospital as well as broader aspects of heart failure management.

The post holders will be expected to build on our experience to date with the benefit of 2 permanent posts working alongside expert cardiac physiologists, heart failure nurses and arrhythmia nurses in Blackpool and well established, evolving regional colleagues. The role is expected to have a local as well as regional focus.
