An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Infection Prevention and Control Team at Yeovil District Hospital for a permanent Full Time Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant.

The position involves supporting the team in all Infection Prevention and Control practice, such as participating in the delivery of the Trust's annual audit programme, which will include undertaking audit activities, participating in Trust research and alerting the Infection prevention and Control Team if particular issues arise that require further investigation or support. In addition, the post holder will assist with the delivery of care to, assessment and review of Infection and Control patients, including support and assistance with education and training needs throughout the Trust.

The successful candidate will be able to develop their communication skills and gain a more in-depth knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control, allowing them to act as a role model for other staff members, while maintaining and promoting communication links throughout the Trust.

The post holder will work flexible hours during week days.
