Accounts Assistant job in Ashby, Leicestershire.

Your new company
Is a leading global organisation who, due to a restructure within the Finance team, are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team at their shared service site in Ashby.

Your new role
As part of the Finance and Billings team, you will have a very varied role, sharing responsibilities across both Purchase Ledger and Credit Control. You will be approving purchase orders, entering invoices onto the bespoke accounting software, and reconciling supplier statements. You will be processing and paying expenses bi-monthly. You will be working with cross-currency accounts, preparing banks for reconciliation and finance reporting on Excel on a weekly and monthly basis. You will be responsible for credit control, running credit checks on new customers and setting up new accounts as well as chasing any overdue invoices and posting the cash received. You will be required to support your team when necessary to meet strict financial deadlines.

What you'll need to succeed
You will hard working and have the desired to potentially work extra or flexible hours to ensure the tight deadlines are met. You will need to have previous experience within a similar role in a busy, fast paced environment. You need to be organised, thorough and have a high level of attention to detail. You should be a competent user of excel and have excellent verbal and written skills.
