Deputy Regional Manager, Northern (Membership and Events)

Salary: Grade 4 Regional:  £24,411 - £27,460 per annum pro rata

We have an exciting opportunity for a deputy regional manager in the Northern Region at the Royal College of Physicians. The post holder will be a key player in a small team and support RCP members (ranging from medical students through to retired consultants) in the Northern region as well as participate as an active member of the wider UK regions team.


Working with the regional manager, the deputy regional manager has a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • organising events and conferences in the region
  • establishing effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • managing local membership support activities.

About you

  • Be a natural self-starter who is motivated by new exciting challenges.
  • Excellent organisational skills and be able to use your own initiative.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Experience of events management and delivery.
  • Proficient in the use of MS office packages, CRM and preferably experience using mass email software and online survey tools.
  • Experience of working in a membership organisation, charity or NHS organisation would be desirable
