Our clients are on the hunt for a tenacious, results driven and ambitious Business Development Manager with proven management experience of leading a high performance SDR team for a leading and fast-moving SaaS, enterprise software or technology solutions vendor.

As a Business Development Manager you have already developed and nurtured an over achieving team and are now seeking a new and inspiring challenge to innovate and experiment with new approaches leveraging digital, video, AI and speech analytics to set your SDR team apart.

Salary £50-55K + excellent benefits

Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager include;
  • Consistently overachieve monthly, quarterly and yearly targets for new business opportunities and new pipeline generation
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop the best SDR talent in the industry
  • Drive structured performance and competencies-based career progression plans
  • Conduct structured performance reviews and personal development plans quarterly
  • Invest minimum 2h per Rep per week in call coaching sessions, track the results and improvement from session to session weekly, quarterly and yearly
  • Implement best in class processes, infrastructure and systems supporting the SDR team targets achievement
  • Track performance daily on a variety of KPIs and activity metrics, including social selling, calls, video, leads, opportunities, pipeline, conversion ratios
  • Drive team performance (also remotely) and execution excellence on a day to day basis
  • Experiment with innovative ways to achieve 2x and 3x performance from your team
  • Propose new ideas and approaches, rally cross functional support for execution
  • Integrate and align the SDR team with the Marketing and Field Sales organizations
  • Implement and drive Programmatic Demand generation campaigns with Marketing
  • Articulate the SDR mission and value at every level and cross-functionally
  • Carry out forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world

The ideal Business Development Manager will the following;
  • Educated to degree level or higher
  • Proven management experience leading a high performance SDR team for a leading and fast-moving SaaS, enterprise software or technology solutions vendor
  • First-hand experience as an SDR, BDR or ISR of at least 2 years on the phones
  • Demonstrable track record of targets overachievement as an individual contributor and as a manager
  • Experience managing teams from 5 to 20 heads
  • Coaching experience and certifications in solutions selling (SPIN or similar)
  • Exceptional people management, communication, coaching and performance management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a self-motivated natural leader, results driven, accountable
  • Innovative thinker with confidence to contribute ideas and think outside of the box
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch, with good decision-making skills
  • Fluent English; ability to speak a foreign language may be an asset if you're dealing with overseas clients
  • Great organisational skills
  • The ability to think strategically
  • Project management skills
  • The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
  • Expert with all Office applications including Word, Excel and a regular user of social tools
  • CRM experience preferred
