Context Recruitment is delighted to be partnered with an innovative, Global Digital Services Company who help companies to make digital transformation happen. Our client is looking for an experience Business Development Consultant to drive business forward in the UK market. The role will sit within our client's Finance and Technology Management business division and therefore the successful candidate will have a strong network and background within the banking or asset finance industry.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Sales Director, the position is focused on generating business via strategic business partnerships, as well as further developing business within our client's portfolio and through the successful candidates' own networking activities. If successful you will be responsible for structuring and selling traditional finance and residual value-based leasing solutions for digital transformation projects, as well as subscription based and as-a-Service structures.

Key responsibilities will include the following:
  • Develop your own portfolio of new clients to support their investment on technology, software and smart objects by managing business partner programmes and leads generated from the direct channel
  • Develop a business plan to identify, qualify and progress a pipeline of potential new solution partners in collaboration with the Sales Director
  • Maintain and maximise all opportunities to develop levels of business within existing accounts assigned to you
  • Provide financial solutions for smart / digital products
  • To research and qualify all aspects of the identified client prior to an approach, to ensure contact is made at the appropriate level, with a full understanding of the client's culture, financial practices and potential IT requirements
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders at partner and end user client level, ensuring face-to-face appointments are prioritised.
  • Achieve set targets based on; PV (turnover), and Margin (profit)
  • Accurate forecasting and management of pipeline
  • Utilise all support functions within the client's organisation during the sell, negotiation and closure of the deal
  • Manage and develop business partners and end user client accounts
  • Effective management of time when working remotely from the office
  • Maximise all cross-selling opportunities within client, partners, suppliers etc

What is our client looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a strong network of business partners and existing clients and demonstrable appetite to write new business with their network. They will have strong communication & relationship building skills and be well organised. You will be interested in sales & business development and enjoy a fast-paced working environment.

As a minimum the successful candidate will have:
  • Proven track record in client facing solution selling, ideally selling digital solutions and/or experience selling asset finance solutions to B2B (5 years' experience as a minimum)
  • Strong new business and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Understand the "structure of a complex sale" and of managing the "consultative sale" rather than transactional based selling
  • Demonstrate the skill set, experience and required gravitas to liaise with senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Preparing professional proposals and quotations
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of current IT products, trends and smart technologies
  • Effective forecasting and exceeding of sales targets

  • £50k - £65k Bonus OTE
  • Up to £20k for 3 new client deals over £1m
