The Hyde group are established Industry experts within Aerospace/scientific Engineering and have a new vacancy for a Sales Manager, working at our busy sheet metal manufacturing site in Dukinfield.

As a Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the continued success and growth of the company by seeking out new and repeat business opportunities.

You'll be responsible for keeping in touch with existing customers and introducing our services and engineering solutions to perspective new customers and carry out customer visits using different types of media and material.

You'll liaise with the senior management team and use your experience to support with preparing bids for quotation. You will also build strong relationships with existing customers to develop further business opportunities.

Essential Skills
  • Business Development Skills within a sheet metal manufacturing environment
  • Sales background, preferably within an engineering / aircraft manufacturing environment either as a sales manager or sales engineer.
  • Relationship management experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales targets
  • Add value & identify new business opportunities with existing customers
  • Proactively market, approach/target customers, respond to and generating leads and qualifying opportunities
  • Able to develop and manage a sales strategy. As the role involves customer visits, it is essential that you hold a full driving licence.

Person Specification:
  • Excellent communications skills are imperative
  • Must have good team working ethic, be highly pro-active and motivated.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings
  • Excellent customer facing skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Good understanding of Aerospace Sheet Metal manufacture
  • Experience of sheet metal production is preferred
  • IT literate, in particular Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Commercially and strategically awareness
  • The ability to work flexible hours should the business need arise.
