The Care and Support Department are looking for a LD Team Leader To provide and manage support to service users with learning disabilities living in the community. Promoting choice, independence and integration within the local community. This person will need to take the lead in the selection and assessment of referrals to the service. Working with and managing service users' individual support and care agreements while monitoring clear and up to date records to required standards.

The Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit, select and deploy staff effectively.
• To operate as part of a team and manage this team on a flexible shift basis. Managing individual team members, setting and monitoring personal objectives and identifying training needs.
• To liaise in the areas of budget management with the service manager.
• Liaise with internal customers and external organisations when needed.
• To provide personal care as required (domiciliary care registered services).

The Ideal Candidate for the role:
• Knowledge and experience of issues facing people with learning disabilities living in the community.
• Good numeric, literacy, written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to prioritise workload effectively. To meet monitoring and reporting deadlines
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays
• To provide personal care as required (domiciliary care registered services).
• Has or willing to undertake mandatory training e.g Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
