Provide vital support to our schools across Hampshire

We are looking for dynamic, flexible individuals with great organisation skills and proven administrative experience to support our school governing bodies. You will play a vital role, supporting our governors to provide Hampshire's schools with the leadership and guidance they need. You will oversee the organisation of meetings, record accurate minutes, and advise on changes in legislation, policy and governance issues.

A motivated self-starter, you will be able to work under your own initiative, manage deadlines, and keep accurate records. The ability to remain impartial, comply with data protection legislation and maintain confidentiality is essential. As part of this role, you are required to undertake the clerks' development programme as well as the 'accredited clerk qualification'.

Please note: Once allocated to a school, you will be permanently linked to them and your hours will vary depending on the school you are allocated to. This will impact on your actual salary and hours as each school buys a clerking contract which varies in size from school to school, and these directly correlate to your contract. You will also have the opportunity to support more than one school depending on the number of hours you can work. Hours are paid to clerks as annualised hours - this means that contracted hours are paid as equal monthly payments. Further information is available on our Governor Services website.

Please note that we will also accept applications from other areas in Hampshire. Please state a preference for a location that suits you in your application.
