We have an exciting role available for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join our growing client - a large UK Insurance Brokers firm. This is an ideal role and business to join if you are keen to grow and develop within a vibrant sales environment.

You will be required to work a 35 hour week, ideally Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. HOWEVER! Our client is flexible between the hours of 8am - 8pm with a flexible benefits package, OR you can even work remotely from home up to 4 days a week!!

You will be responsible for servicing clients and insurers in line with agreed KPI's, remaining compliant with efficient use of the businesses core systems. To be successful all candidates must put the business values at the heart of what you do - excellence, consistency, positivity and passion.

Key duties include:
  • To develop effective relationships with Clients and Insurers to maximise business opportunities, support your Assistant Director in achieving their income targets and other relevant Key Performance Indicators.
  • To work within your stated licence limits and in accordance with standard systems and procedures.
  • To undertake general broking activities as required including dealing with;
  • Client queries and correspondence.
  • New business, renewals, and adjustments. Ensuring effective reviews of sums insured, limits and covers, with clear communication of terms, conditions, warranties and pricing.
  • Timely completion of risk requirements following Insurer surveys.
  • The effective management of your diary.
  • To ensure timely adherence to credit control queries.
  • To attend meetings, training and other company events as requested.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Good working knowledge of commercial insurance contracts possibly including property, casualty, motor, financial lines, marine and awareness of aviation.
  • Good IT skills on core Microsoft office systems.
  • Good behaviours in line with business values; delivery of technical and strategic knowhow, communication, quality focus, adherence to systems and procedures, problem solving and solution focussed, teamwork, planning, organising and self-development.
  • Able to work towards targets and KPI's.
