Scope and General Purpose

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
  • To organise the pastry section: bread, afternoon tea, cakes, biscuits and desserts
  • Assist and support breakfast, lunch, room service and dinner service
  • Assist with training of junior members of the team so that they are confident an
  • Assist with the control of food to reduce wastage in line with agreed GP targets
  • Assist with the implementation of self and Team Cook Safe

  • Manage the stock and equipment to maintain adequate levels
  • Assist with the organisation and production of healthy, varied meals for the whole

  • Communicate effectively with the Kitchen team and other departments

Specific requirements:
  • At least 12 months experience as a demi-chef/chef de partie in a professional kitchen.
  • Worked in a 2/3 rosette restaurant or similar in the last 12 months.
  • SVQ level 3 in food preparation or equivalent.
  • Fluent English.
  • Have a valid work permit for at least 2 years.
