JOB DESCRIPTION
CASS Analyst | Edinburgh | Contract

Do you have experience of Investment Operations, specifically CASS knowledge (CASS 8)? Change Recruitment's leading asset manager is looking to hire an experienced Analyst on a contract basis. As part of external audit process, you will be required to support BAU and manage external requests through Q4 2019 and Q1, 2020.

Main Duties:

- implementing CIM for the CASS team and developing team procedures to support the CIM system
- support in organising and providing minutes to the CASS Governance Committee, including producing MI, sourcing updates and producing the pack and minutes
- draft other Board packs and management reporting
- sending, tracking and receiving attestations for the CASS RP and CASS 8 mandate listings
- creating and producing CMAR CASS Team data validation checks
- source, provide and respond to queries arising from internal and external audit requests in Q3
- develop a self-service system for internal and external audit in Q4 to minimise future work
- external monitoring of banking providers
- Q4 client money bank account verification review



Skills:

• Investment Operations experience and knowledge of investment products
• Previous CASS experience would be beneficial
• Outstanding client service skills, maturity and judgment in dealing directly with clientele
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Previous project, process or change initiative exposure as you will need to support process re-design/improvement and systems development
• Outstanding work ethic and willingness to contribute beyond the scope of one's role to achieve team and firm objectives
• Excellent attention to detail, extremely accurate and well organised

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesise information, summarise issues and think outside the box
• A self- starter, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to escalate issues
• Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines and to prioritise work with strong emphasis on time management
• Able to exercise sound judgment and to appropriately document conclusions
• Ability and desire to work in a team environment; willingness to ask questions but also to learn independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for learning new applications
• Programming or automation experience with tools like Python, RPA, SQL is a plus
