We're looking for customer-focused individual who is proactive, flexible and has a positive attitude to join us as a Floating Support Worker based in the Hertfordshire area.

We deliver affordable homes to rent or buy across the south east and east of England. We also provide supported housing services to help the more vulnerable people in our communities. Our people impact on the lives of others and our business every day so we're committed to developing talent and growing ambition.

We're at a particularly exciting point in our story, having recently merged with another large housing association, Catalyst. The merger makes us stronger and more able to deliver our social purpose.

We're always striving to do better. If you are too, read on.

As a Floating Youth Support Worker you will play an active role in delivering our support service to vulnerable young people. You'll be providing advice, guidance and support to young people between the ages of 18 and 24 who could be in crisis or at risk of homelessness, across the Hertfordshire area.

You'll work closely with HertsYoungHomeless, a homeless charity based in Hertfordshire, identifying needs coordinating the right support for young people. You'll ensure that all young people work towards their support plans whilst offering them realistic advice to prevent homelessness wherever possible. You will maintain accurate records on your customers and you will complete all administrative tasks required.

You may have some experience of working in a similar role, however if you have a passion or interest for working with vulnerable young people then we'd still love to hear from you. You'll need good IT skills and the ability to manage a short-term caseload with conflicting deadlines. Developing positive working relationships with young people is critical, however you must keep strong professional boundaries in place. You'll be working remotely on a daily basis, so you need to be comfortable working without supervision and in tense situations where you're required to make decisions.

At Aldwyck, we are extremely passionate about the services we provide to people and we know we wouldn't be able to deliver that service, without our people. If you'd like to join us, and help make a real difference, please get in touch.

The role is 'Floating' which means you need to have a full, clean drivers licence and access to a vehicle. In addition to this, you will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
