Salary Description: £28,000 per annum + mileage (paid after 30 miles) following a successful 6 month probation, you're salary would rise to £32,000!

We are currently looking to recruit 2 qualified Functional Skills Tutors to teach on a 1:1 and small group basis at our clients' sites.

One position will be covering the North of England - ideally you'll be based in Nottingham/Sheffield area. The other position will be covering the South of England where the ideal location .

You must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to your own vehicle and be prepared to travel to different work locations each day. Some overnight stays may be required on occasion.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Delivering Functional Skills Maths and English, at levels 1 and 2 to employed adult apprentices

• Invigilation of examinations (paper and online)

• Preparation of resources and materials for teaching sessions

• Marking and feedback to learners

• Development of high quality standard teaching materials

• Supporting vocational staff with embedding of Functional Skills into programmes

• Providing learning support to apprentices with ALS needs

• Maintaining learner records and tracking progress

Essential Experience, Knowledge, & Qualifications:

• Teaching Qualification Level 3 (minimum)

• Level 3 or higher in Maths or English

• Minimum of 5 years' experience teaching adult learners on an apprenticeship

• Knowledge of Functional Skills curricula & reforms

• Knowledge of initial/diagnostic assessment learning platforms

• Flexible approach to working (from home/remotely)

Interviews - For this position, if you are successfully shortlisted you'll initially have a telephone conversation with the Functional Skills Curriculum Manager. Once this is has established interest and suitability on both sides, you'll then be invited to a face to face interview - At the moment we are working towards Wednesday 13th or Friday 15th November for the face to face interviews, so time is of the essence!
