About the role

This is a new role, created at MySense (UK) Ltd to drive new growth, successfully deliver current and potential opportunities across the UK, and annual sales revenues exceeding £20m.

MySense has ambitious plans in the UK and internationally: to move beyond current markets (UK and Canada) to at least one other, and to create opportunities to sell down additional verticals in the UK and new markets over the next five years.

Our customers in the UK are Public Sector, Accommodation Providers, Care and Support Providers and Property Developers. This role will further advance our strategy and channel partnerships down all market verticals. The role will also play a key part in shaping and delivering an exciting B2B2C retail offer.

This is a role that needs exceptional account management, both strategically and operationally. In some cases, this will involve challenging client-side dialogue and issue resolution. This role is not one for someone seeking an ivory tower; MySense team members lead from the front and by example in order to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction without compromising our product.

In the short term, this role will operationalise account delivery strategies, including the utility of the product and whether the majority of the devices work as designed, proving we add value to the users/families to make sure we retain customers and have those customers enthusiastically recommend the product.

An empathy with partner businesses and their business models, to help us and them sell our product, and to establish what our business model should look like to add value is critical to this role. This will include (but is not limited to) creating and administering a reseller program, training and building in-house capacity out in the field and building additional pipelines, rather than traditional BD / sales.

The Accounts Manager will report to the Chief Commercial Officer of MySense Group, and be based in Westminster Tower, London.

Responsibilities:
  • Build strategies and execute them through tactical implementation of coherent and commercially strong plans that continually grow the customer base and increase revenue
  • Build new executive-level relationships, generating leads, driving the sales pipeline and introducing potential new growth opportunities
  • Contribute to the MySense customer experience and the brand touch-points, nationally and internationally
  • Contribute to building the internal culture of the organisation required as we scale-up: not creepy corporate or lava lamp cliche but our own identity and behaviours consistent with the MySense way
  • Build the internal capacity to successfully fulfil large scale contracts: so this aspect requires exceptional programme delivery experience, account leadership (not just management; but services and development, and often strategic leadership to/from client side)
  • Build and test a sustainable distribution model for high volume roll out across UK markets
  • Build (i.e. spec and recruit to) our UK sales and marketing function
  • Contribute to the plan for retail at Group level and present a fully worked-up model for the UK within 12 months


Role Requirements:
  • 3+ years of domain experience and a proven track record of exceeding objectives
  • The ability to work with a focus on deadlines and business goals
  • Possess a valid driver's license and suitable vehicle - must be willing to travel
  • Endless curiosity and active listening with a passion for learning and solutions
  • A master at maintaining positive client relationships, even through difficult dialogue
  • The ability to ensure programmes of delivery meet the needs of buyer and seller
  • Ability to create successful long term partnerships across verticals and industries

About the successful candidate

The Accounts Manager will own the end to end delivery of the commercial strategy for the UK.

The successful candidate will possess domain knowledge across most if not all current market verticals, with particular sensitivity for both the strategic operational environments of our channel partners and their clients.

MySense is a wellbeing analytics platform built on compassion, by people who understand what it's like to care for a loved one. But we're also a team of dedicated (self-proclaimed) nerds, tech is what we know and love. So, we have combined these two drives and created a product we can be proud of.

The idea is that peace of mind about a loved one's wellbeing should be at people's fingertips no matter who or where they are. To do this, we created a wearable device and 11 sensors that can be placed around someone's home. Each sensor picks up information about a key activity.
