Better Healthcare in Bedford are currently recruiting for Community Care Workers to work in and around the Norwich area.

We are a preferred supplier of care and support services for local authorities can offer you both full-time or part-time hours - we are recruiting in and around all areas in and around Norwich / Norfolk covering all post codes from NR1 - to NR6.

This position offers flexible hours and we can accommodate you if you are only looking to work morning, evenings and/or weekends.
Care Workers are ideally required to start at either 7:00 AM,or 16:00 PM and work every other weekend - however if your availability doesn't fit to this we would still love to hear from you..

We are looking for people with a caring, friendly and respectful approach to support our service users in their own homes and assist them with day to day duties. The ideal candidate will have the ability to show empathy and understanding of the needs of vulnerable people.
This role involves:
  • Assistance with Personal Care (toileting/ showering/ bathing/ washing)
  • Light Domestic Duties
  • Medication Administration
  • Shopping
  • Meal Preparation

No experience is required as Better Healthcare will provide you with quality training giving you the skills needed to deliver high quality care. For the right candidate we can offer:

Position: Domiciliary Care Assistant
Responsible to: Branch Manager

Purpose of Position

To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of service users in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. Care provided by care assistants is expected to include care that would reasonably be given by members of the service user's own family and is not expected to include tasks that would normally be expected to be undertaken by a trained nurse.

Principal Responsibilities

To assist service users who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and the toilet.To help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.To care for service users who are temporarily sick and needing, for example, minor dressings, bed nursing, help with feeding, etc.To help care for service users who are end of life.To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of service users through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.To make and change beds; tidy rooms; do light cleaning and empty commodes.To inspect, launder and mend service users' clothing.To set
