Our client, a global market leading technologies business, are looking to hire an Account Director to join their small, growing and hugely successful Defence & MOD sales operation to identify new business and manage a number of key accounts to drive revenues and customer satisfaction.

This is a home/remote based position, travelling to regional offices in Manchester and London and UK client site as required.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and generate new prospects and convert them into key accounts
  • Develop and manage key accounts to their full potential
  • New business development - cold calling and email marketing
  • Continually update and develop product and market knowledge
  • Working to and achieving KPI's (call and revenue targets)
  • Booking, organising and hosting customer meetings and events meetings
  • Creating and issuing quotations, understanding strategy leading to project-based work.

Requirements
  • A proven IT sales track record of selling technology related products and services in to the Defence & MOD sector.
  • Previous experience from a top 100 VAR preferred, vendor or distributor also considered.
  • A natural ability to build customer rapport
  • Self-motivated and ambitious
  • Natural business/commercial acumen
  • A proven ability to develop and close business opportunities

This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm

Regular UK travel required.
