The BDM role:

As a valued member of our team, we look for you to bring enthusiasm and passion to our customers and help them to understand how we can save them money on their business bills. The BDM role is target driven and highly active, so a passionate, money-hungry candidate would thrive in this environment!

You will be allocated your own dedicated sales area and will provided with prequalified/warm business leads covering all areas within the group (energy, card processing and water), all of which will already have a business relationship with us.

You will also be responsible for proactively creating new client leads in our target market (SME's), engaging with customers to understand their needs and helping them to reduce their business utility/merchant service costs.

Key Skills Required:
  • Utilising your skills and experience in the B2B environment, you will successfully build relationships with your customer base and generate new business throughout your network.
  • Proactively pursue new business / sales opportunities contacting customers directly (this will require "cold/warm calling") businesses, marketing the services provided.
  • Utilising business network opportunities to generate leads.
  • Achieving KPIs set for customer sign up targets, conversion rates and quality management.
  • The ability to be able to close your deals on site with the customer via our CRM.
  • Excellent self-management - a self-starter
  • An ability to manage your own diary, schedule meetings
  • B2B field sales experience from a sales background
  • Utilities or Merchant Services (Card Processing) industry experience, (but not essential as we will train you on everything you need to know)
  • Experience selling to the SME market
  • Ability to thrive in a result driven environment, operating with integrity and transparency.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Achieve monthly sales
  • To achieve performance KPIs
  • IT literate, with the ability to accurately complete all customer details & sales information to the required standard
  • Sales generated to be in line with the company's quality standards, including but not limited to, following the treating customer fairly (TCF) policy
