SUMMARY
Are you an experienced solicitor / chartered legal executive (FILEX) looking to work within commercial property arm of a leading and renowned professional services sector business?

Then this new opportunity may be worth looking at. Our client, based in Leicester, is seeking someone on a full-time permanent basis to be responsible for:

*Providing high quality, timely, professional fee earning in relation to commercial property transactions and related work. This will include all types of non-residential conveyancing including commercial landlord and tenant, residential and business development sites, freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, secured lending and work relating to easements and covenants.
*Working effectively with own initiative to act in the best interests of clients, maximising profitability and working within a team environment.
*Maintaining an up to date knowledge of property law matters and case law, legislation and trends and advice to fellow fee earners.
*Actively proposing and participating in agreed marketing initiatives and for contributing to marketing opportunities.

FEATURES OF THE ROLE
*Planning and organising own day to day activities
*Report to the Head of Services, conduct day to day activities in relation to client matters in the best interests of the client and consistent with the business plan and aims of the firm.
*To develop and maintain sound business relationships with other departments of the firm, as well as with clients, business contacts and referral partners. Ensure the highest level of client care, consistent with the standards set out by the firm, and consistent with its Core Values and Vision and Mission Statements.
*Participate in, and encourage other staff to participate in, the development of improved operating practices within the department consistent with the Firm's practice of continuous improvement.
*Financial management: achieve agreed targets for fee earning.
*Be an active member of the marketing department, encouraging staff to be active in helping to generate and promote marketing of the firm.

Reporting to: Head of Services

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
*Qualifications: Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (FILEX)
*Ideally 5-years post-qualification experience specialising in Commercial Property.
*Able to handle, with limited supervision, a wide variety of commercial property matters from initial instructions to completion and post-completion work.
*Able to start, develop and maintain good business relationships with clients, business contacts and referral partners such as accountants and surveyors.
*Able to draft complex and/or bespoke documents and clauses.
*Strong IT skills (you will receive training on our Case Management System)
*Excellent technical knowledge of Commercial Property law
*Be confident and personable with excellent client care and communications skills (both verbal and written).
*Well organised with a proactive approach to transactions and problem solving.
*Embrace the core values of the firm.
*Build a good rapport with clients and colleagues.
*Valid driving licence and possess own transport. Willing to visit clients and business contacts at their places of business or elsewhere.

DESIRABLE
*Experience of using case management systems.
*Experience of using customer relationship management systems.

PACKAGE
*Appointment Type: Permanent
*Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 (subject to experience)
*Hours: Full-Time (discretionary flexi-time), opportunity to work remotely
*Holiday: 25 Days + STAT + discretionary Christmas closure days (additional holiday days accrued in line with service)
