Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant needed in a Primary School in Widnes

Your new company
A Mainstream Primary school in your local area is looking for a Behavioural Teaching Assistant. In this role you will be working within a welcoming and supportive environment that helps every student to prosper academically and socially. This school provides a nurturing learning environment and structure that is stimulating and engaging, helping very student find their dream, whilst also giving them the tools and confidence to achieve them.

Your new role

You will be responsible for dealing with the more challenging behaviour within the classroom, working alongside the class teacher to keep every student engaged and on task. You will work on a one-to-one, with small groups of pupils and with whole classes. You will help implement specialised behaviour support plans, as well as deliver and monitor intervention workshops to help improve attainment. You will work with a range of SEN, including, global development delay, Autism, ASD and ADHD.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will hold a Teaching Assistant qualification, however this isn't a necessity. You will have worked within the classroom in the last year and hold strong behavioural techniques used to defuse challenging behaviour. You will have past experience delivering interventions to varied ability and past experience working with a range of SEN
