We are recruiting experienced teaching assistants in Bath to work in a SEMH school (social, emotional and mental health) with children aged between 11 and 16.

To work at this school you will need to have previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role working with vulnerable children or adults.

You will need to be flexible and happy to work in a range of classrooms to best support the students. Ideally, you will be able to drive or be happy to take a combination of public transport if you're from outside of Bath (Train and bus or bike).

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Supporting students in class and around the school
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting students in their work and helping with differentiation
  • Keeping students engaged in their work
  • Implementing behaviour management tools
  • Helping with life skills lessons

Essential Criteria:
  • At least 12 months experience supporting children in an education/ care setting
  • At least 6 months experience supporting children with SEMH, or other SEND
  • Great behaviour management skills
  • A flexible and resourceful approach
  • Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
  • Two recent child based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks
  • Access to a car would be ideal due to the location
  • Able to work 8.30-3.30 5 days per week term time only
