Locum Childcare Lawyer â€" £280-£320 per day â€" East Anglia â€" Remote Working

Venn Group's specialist legal team are delighted to be recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer with a Local Authority based in East Anglia.

The team are looking for someone to carry out the role for an initial period of 3 months on a remote working basis for the foreseeable future but there may be an expectation for some office working once the government advice permits this. Our client is ideally looking for someone to join the team on a full-time basis, however part-time candidates will also be considered.

The ideal candidate will have experience representing a Local Authority or significant experience representing children or parents. Someone who is familiar with using a case management system and is a good team player. There will also be dedicated paralegal support as well as support from the wider team

The successful applicant may be expected to carry out various responsibilities including:
  • Managing a varied and interesting Childcare caseload
  • Conducting own advocacy via virtual hearings
  • Handling of private law matters including s7, s31 and s37 Children Act 1989 and special Guardianship Orders
  • Dealing with matters including emergency applications and adoption matters in court
  • Advising on and conducting Emergency Protection Orders

The role is offering an attractive rate between £280-£320 per day umbrella dependent upon experience.
