The Company

Our client is an established and successful company based in Durham. They are currently looking for a Sales Administrator to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. If you are interested and meet the person specification of the job role, please apply below.

The Role
  • Internal sales role dealing with general telephone enquiries with retail customers, trade and Business to Business customers
  • Providing advice on products and quotations
  • Answering phones and dealing mainly with incoming sales queries from retail and business to business customers both by telephone, email and in person
  • Order processing of all new sales orders
  • Processing and sending out quotations to customers using our in-house software (training will be given)
  • Maintaining customer files and records/CRMs for all customer contact
  • Processing of Credit Card and Cash payments from trade customers and members of the public
  • Covering other jobs in the case of holidays/absence
  • Providing general administration support (booking in delivery notes, generating despatch notes etc)
  • Packaging spare parts and arranging couriers to enable a quick turnaround in the delivery to the customer
  • Be able to organise and work in an efficient and timely manner

The Person
  • Must have internal sales admin experience.
  • Professional adaptable attitude and willingness to learn, develop and take on new tasks as required
  • Professional calming manner when dealing with telephone calls and be able to talk at ease with our potential customers
  • Must be able to understand the importance of dealing with new sales leads with a quick turnaround issuing quotations
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Able to understand the importance of following procedures both within our company and that of our business to business customers to ensure that any feedback received is positive
  • Must have excellent organisational skills to enable all tasks to be completed in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good attention to detail when processing data and orders etc with the ability to follow procedures and tasks through to completion
  • Will be willing to learn how our products are manufactured and operate so that this can be relayed to customers as and when they require
  • Sound computer-based skills are essential
  • Excellent numerical skills and be able to price accurately including discounts
  • Small company so the candidate must be willing to carry out a variety of tasks as and when required to help in other departments
  • Candidate must have a good level of attendance/sickness record
