We are currently recruiting for switchboard operators to work within the public sector in the Gloucester area, these roles are on a temporary but ideally will become temp to perm for the right candidates.

Please note that due to the nature of the roles all candidates will need a DBS check completed.

Pay rate: £9.38 per hour

The main duties will be to:
  • Ensure you are the first point of contact to visitors and callers to site via the telephone system
  • Ensure that all incoming calls to the switchboard are answered swiftly and efficiently and transferred to the correct extension and take messages accurately.
  • Book meeting rooms
  • Manage the visitor's book
  • Ensure a five star, professional service is delivered to all employees and guests visiting the building or contacting the switchboard

The ideal candidate will have
  • Reception experience
  • Computer literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Knowledge of switchboard systems (advantageous)
  • A flexible "can do" attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Please be aware that these roles are shift rotations which means you will need to be available to cover weekends as well as weekdays.
