Established and well known Retail business are seeking an interim credit controller to support the finance team clearing a backlog of aged company debt. This role will require candidates to be immediately available and will be paying £11 - £13 per hour.

Our client is a well known Retail business in Avonmouth with an enviable reputation amongst its competitors. There is also parking on site.

Our client provides an excellent working environment and complies with Covid-19 guidelines to ensure that the office is safe for employees at all times.


As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for the following:
  • Making a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
  • Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customer's credit rankings with banks
  • Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
  • Ensuring timely payment of debts
  • Following up payments as needed
  • Negotiating re-payment plans


To be a successful credit controller you will need to demonstrate the following skill set and behaviours:
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Previous credit control experience - ability to retrieve aged debt.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to make a high volume outbound calls
  • Professional telephone manner at all times
  • Proficient in Excel and Word

Job Offer

The client will be offering the successful candidate the position on an ongoing basis, with a competitive hourly rate of £11 - £13 per hour.
