Your role: -

This post works within the Environment Directorate and Low Carbon Team, reporting to the Head of Low Carbon Innovation and Programmes, to oversee and facilitate the effective development and delivery of the 5yr Environment Plan. Providing stakeholder management to successfully deliver a complex, high valued programme of strategic projects; across identified priority areas, taking direct local responsibility for the successful delivery of all elements, to agreed levels of time, budget and quality.

The key purpose is to provide programme development and policy management across the energy theme, within the Low Carbon Team.

The role holder will undertake effective stakeholder management with internal GMCA and external strategic directors and senior managers, interpreting strategic visions into a coherent local programme of Whole System Smart Energy projects, which delivers local and collaborative low carbon priorities.

About you: -

An individual with an understanding of public sector who is passionate about delivering innovation to meet the regions low carbon ambition of carbon neutrality by 2038. You will relish the challenge of managing a complex project, demonstrating excellent planning skills and policy knowledge to maintain focus and objectivity under various conditions. An ability to manage and maintain a multi-priority workload, progressing various ideas and plans concurrently, with numerous partners to deliver a variety of innovative services and deliverables.
