Your new school

This school is an outstanding school within Newport. The school has a brilliant infrastructure and has over 1300 pupils. This is a diverse school with the vast majority of intake coming from the local area. The school are currently recruiting for a English teacher until half term initially with possibility for extension.

Your new role

Starting September, you will join the well-run English department within the school. You will be responsible for teaching a timetable of KS3, KS4 lessons, on a full time basis. Your role will include full teaching responsibilities including planning and preparation of lessons, marking, assessment, attending parents evenings and pastoral responsibilities for a form class.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience of teaching English at KS3 & KS4 within a secondary school. You will have a passion for your subject and building relationships with pupils. You should have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
