Secondary School - Qualified Maths Teacher required in Newport for October Start.

This school is a brilliant comprehensive school based on the outskirts of Newport. The school is a recently modernised school with fantastic facilities & has over 1200 pupils including sixth form. There is wealth of diversity within the school that reflects the diverse economic prosperity of the local area. The school are currently recruiting for a Maths teacher until half term initially with possibility for extension.

Your new role

Starting in October, you will join a fantastic department within the school. You will be responsible for teaching a timetable of KS3, KS4 & KS5 Maths lessons, on a full time basis. Your role will include full teaching responsibilities including planning and preparation of lessons, marking, assessment, attending parents evenings and pastoral responsibilities for a form class.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience of teaching Maths at KS3, to KS5 within a secondary school. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
