Robertson Bell are pleased to be partnering with a Public Sector organisation, based East of Oxford, to recruit an Interim Service Charge Manager for an initial period of 3 months. This role could go permanent for the successful candidate, if it was something that they wanted to pursue.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Applying a sound understanding of Housing legislation to ensure that charges are in line with the terms of individual leases.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data coded to service charge codes and investigate any variances to the budget.
  • Producing management reports and budgets for key stakeholders across the business.
  • Analyse service charge trends and ensure that any resultant costs are correctly allocated and understand the implications these bring.
  • Attend regular resident and managing agent meetings, as the organisations service charge representative.
  • Resolving any service charge issues across the business whilst making service charge information fully understandable to non-finance staff.

To be considered, please meet these criteria:
  • Have an excellent understanding of Housing legislation and strong experience with setting Service Charge budgets from within either a social housing, property, or real estate environment.
  • Be a strong people manager with proven successes in leadership in the past
  • Have advance excel skills.
  • Be an excellent communicator who is able to use the latest technology in your management skills .
